Join us in celebrating the reopening of the renovated (and expanded) conservatory. Constructed in 1975, the Alden B. Dow-designed building transforms cool days into a warm tropical respite. Enjoy stunning additions like a light-filled lobby and a brand-new water feature that incorporates moving water in seven different ways. Floor-to-ceiling double-pane insulated windows offer a picturesque view of the nearby red bridge and interpretive displays supplement the exhibit experience. Additional improvements include renovation of the restrooms, an energy-efficient comprehensive control system, below-grade waterproofing improvements, and the creation of a dedicated butterfly "pinning room" with a public viewing window. The popular Butterflies in Bloom exhibit returns to Dow Gardens in March of 2023.
