Event Description:

Now more than ever, businesses are struggling to hire talented workers. People with a disability are more than three times more likely to be out of the labor force as people without a disability demonstrating that this talent is not being considered. Hiring individuals with disabilities can help businesses meet their talent needs, strengthen their competitive edge while creating a culture of diversity and inclusion.

In honor of Disability Awareness Month, the Midland County Disability Coalition is kicking off its first in a series of conversations to explore how employers can tap into this hidden talent by looking at potential gaps, barriers and new opportunities.

Keynote Speaker:
Terry Duperon is the Chairm
an of the Board of Duperon Corporation and Author of A Different Ability and Dare to be Different. His lived experience of business success as a person with a disability will inspire us all to think differently about talent.
