Midland County Habitat for Humanity is one of over 2,200 Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) affiliates in 100 countries around the world. HFHI was created in 1976 and to date has built 500,000 homes worldwide, providing over 2 million people safe and affordable shelter. Formed in 1988, Midland County Habitat has built over 70 homes; providing housing for over 100 adults and 200 children.

MCHFH is a non-profit, inter-denominational Christian ministry dedicated to eliminating substandard housing by building decent, affordable housing through a partnership of volunteers and Midland County residents in need. Houses are built using volunteer labor and donated materials. Then, employing biblical economics, homes are sold to families, at no profit, through an interest-free mortgage.
