Chippewa Nature Center Celebrates
Nature Education Center with Ribbon Cutting

Chippewa Nature Center (CNC) will open the doors of its new Nature Education Center (NEC) at a Ribbon Cutting celebration on Tuesday, May 20 at 4 pm. Attendees will hear from several guest speakers, including Executive Director Dennis Pilaske. Following the ceremonial ribbon cutting, guests can enjoy tours of the facility and light refreshments.

The Nature Education Center will serve the community through Nature Day Camp, school programs and Nature Preschool to connect even more people to nature. The NEC will play an important role in growing CNC’s service of providing environmental education and enhance opportunities to help children throughout the region build a life-long, meaningful relationship with the natural world.

Located near the Visitor Center and existing Nature Preschool building, the Nature Education Center will consist of multi-purpose indoor program space, two preschool classrooms, office space, a meeting room, accessible restrooms and food prep areas, an outdoor covered area for school and camp programs and lunches for up to 150 people, nature play areas and access to nearby trails and ponds. The new facility will enhance opportunities for positive nature connections for youth throughout the region for years to come.
