Chippewa Nature Center to Host Annual Nature Art Show & Sale Dec 5-6

Chippewa Nature Center (CNC) will host its annual Nature Art Show & Sale with a member presale on Friday, December 5, and the event continues for the public on Saturday, December 6 with free admission. Local artists will showcase their works in photography, basket weaving, fiber arts, woodcarving, ceramics, watercolor and acrylic painting, stained glass, mixed media and found object art, jewelry and more. The show starts December 5 with a Member Presale from 6-8 pm with live music by 

John Kissel, wine, light refreshments and a silent auction closing at 7:30 pm. Memberships may be purchased before or at the event. The event is open to the public with free admission on Saturday, December 6 from 8 am-5 pm. There will be a silent auction closing at 3 pm on Saturday (bidders need not be present to win for either auction). Silent auction proceeds support Nature Day Camp scholarships.



This year, the event welcomes new artists Andrea Croft with her watercolor and illustrations, Charles Stockwell’s woodworking, Kathleen Rowe showcasing watercolor and illustrations, and Jennifer Clark’s pressed flower art. Returning artists include Ruth Rushlow with her nature baskets, Jack Harper with his realistic carvings, Karen Brooks of Kabscapes, Maureen Bokhart Ceramics, Garlynn Winslow of Smiles by Garlynn Photography, Sue Collins and her handwoven baskets, Laura Stockwell of NORDmi, Linda Oats Pottery, Barbara Markell and her watercolor art, Larry Kershner with his carved wood pieces, Laurie Ball-Gisch of The Lavender Fleece, Synthia Marsh Jewelry, Ken Kueffner Studio, Bill Diller of Diller Photo and members of The Midland FiberArts Guild.
