What: Pints for the Planet
When: Monday, April 22, 2024 - Earth Day! 11 am to 11 pm with Festivities 6-9 pm
Where: Brinstar, 415 E Main St. Midland (Next to Ace Hardware)
At Midland Recyclers, we know how important sustainability issues are to individuals, families, and businesses, so we are excited to announce the inaugural “Pints for the Planet” benefit! A perfect opportunity to celebrate Earth Day and Support Midland Recyclers.
The event and silent auction will go from 11 am to 11 pm with official festivities starting at 6 pm (Recycle Bingo, Recycle Trivia, Pinball Tournament, and door prizes). Tickets are only $20 each and will get you a commemorative upcycled pint glass, a beer or soft drink, an entry for the door prize and pinball tournament, and a wristband for the bingo and trivia. We plan to pay tribute to our many volunteers that evening so even if you can’t make it, you can purchase tickets to help us thank them for their hard work and dedication to the environment. Silent auction items include a skydive, a one night stay at Soaring Eagle Casino, a wine tasting party, and many fabulous found treasures.
Why support Midland Recyclers? There is more to Midland Recyclers than our commitment to provide recycling services to residents and businesses in the Great Lakes Bay Region. We foster the diverse and inclusive climate necessary for agencies that work with the at-risk population and people with disabilities. They depend on us because we provide the flexible volunteer and work experience opportunities needed for their clients to succeed. We help businesses reach their sustainability goals by accepting “hard to recycle” items such as polystyrene foam, electronics, plastic bags, shrink wrap and vinyl siding. Residents count on us as a drop off point for those “hard to recycle” items as well as a place to obtain items from our “Upcyclers Shoppe” such as moving boxes, packing materials, craft items, garden supplies and much more.
