In early September, the Biden administration announced that, as part of their Path Out of the Pandemic plan, a federal vaccine mandate (Emergency Temporary Standard, or ETS) would be implemented for businesses with 100+ employees). On November 4th, the federal Occupational Safety & Health Administration published details about the mandate, and MIOSHA confirmed that our state will abide by the timetable established by OSHA. While the Midland Business Alliance opposes such a mandate, we realize that employers need to begin preparing now for the deadlines. Some aspects of the ETS will take effect starting December 5th.
Our November 22nd Issues & Answers program will feature Steve Palazzolo of Warner Norcross + Judd's Labor & Employment Practice Group. Steve will walk us through the complex requirements, and what you absolutely need to know as an employer.
Please join us on Monday, November 22nd, 1:00--2:30 p.m. (event includes light refreshments) at the Midland Center for the Arts for Issues & Answers: Prepare for the Federal Vaccine Mandate.
Presentation by Steve Palazzolo, Senior Counsel with Warner Norcross + Judd's Labor & Employment Practice Group.
