Event Description:

Many people enjoy watching Ruby Throated Hummingbirds at their feeders during the birds' annual summer visit to Michigan. Have you wondered what their nest looks like, how many young they raise or what flowers attract hummingbirds? Allen Chartier, Michigan’s hummingbird expert, will answer these questions and more during a 1-hour indoor "Hummingbirds of the Great Lakes" program, followed by an outdoor banding program. Mr. Chartier will discuss his research compiled from banding hummingbirds for over 23 years. Meet at the Visitor Center.
