Industry Experts
Mara Stewart, Executive Director of Affordable Housing Alliance of Midland
Mara leads efforts to preserve and expand affordable housing across Midland County. Since stepping into the role in late 2022, she has focused on strengthening AHA’s operations, growing community partnerships, and building long-term sustainability through strategic fundraising and development initiatives. She is currently leading plans for a large capital campaign to support major renovations and new housing developments in response to growing community needs.
A lifelong Midlander, Mara is deeply invested in the community she serves. She holds a degree in Arts Management and previously built her career in nonprofit communications, events, and the arts. Outside of housing advocacy, she performs flute and piccolo with several local ensembles, serves on community boards, and can often be found running the Pere Marquette Rail Trail—or walking her two Labrador retrievers, and maybe a foster dog too, with her husband, Eric.
Meko Price, Founder of Glo Medical Spa
Glo Medical Spa was created from Meko’s passion for blending medical expertise with a modern approach to wellness and non-invasive aesthetics. Her career began in the pharmaceutical industry, where she gained a deep understanding of science, leadership, and business management. Over time, she realized she wanted to bring that knowledge closer to people’s everyday lives—helping them look and feel their best through personalized care.
Launching Glo was her way of combining years of pharmaceutical and management experience with an entrepreneurial vision: building a patient-centered practice that delivers results while empowering confidence. As an entrepreneur, she’s driven by innovation, growth, and creating spaces where both clients and teams can truly thrive.
