Michigan is home to 902,000 small businesses, with 1.9 million small business employees, representing 48.3% of Michigan workers. 99.6% of Michigan businesses are defined as small businesses with fewer than 500 employees. What do these businesses do when the time comes to retire or sell? Join us on Thursday, June 22nd to hear first-hand accounts of the Succession Planning process.
Presenters include Dr. Andrew Grillo who recently acquired the Great Lakes Bay Orthodontics practice from Drs. Dale and Lisa Davis, DeLois Leapheart of Adoption Option Inc, who is actively working with her board on succession planning so that they can smoothly transition the organization's leadership into new hands in the future, John Haag of Yeo & Yeo to discuss the ins and outs of business valuation, and Mike Nunneley of Michigan SBDC to provide best practice insight on what can be a confusing and difficult topic to navigate. Roadmap to Succession planning will offer something for all business types and for business owners of all ages, including those who are looking to acquire an existing business.
