Vernal Pool Patrol Field Day - Registration Required

Event Description:

Join us for a day in the field collecting information for the community science project Vernal Pool Patrol. This field day will provide hands-on practice identifying traits of vernal pools and the organisms that use them. By the end of the day, participants will have a deeper understanding of how to collect and submit data for the project. Please dress for the weather. Waterproof shoes are ideal.

Registration required Becoming a patroller is a two-step process:

  1. Register for the Vernal Pool Patrol Field Day on March 22 to practice data entry and ID [https://chippewanaturecenter.doubleknot.com/survey/vernal-pool-patrol-field-day-2025/93940]
  2. Register for the free MNFI Vernal Pool Patrol virtual trainings [https://vernal-pool-patrol-mnfi.hub.arcgis.com/pages/training-workshops] - Register even if you cannot attend the training dates in March; recordings will be available until the end of April.
