Job Description
Under the direction of the Learning Management Lead, the Learning Management Specialist will play an integral role in enhancing the competencies of Greater Midland employees by developing and delivering training materials that align with the organization’s strategy and goals. The Learning Management Specialist is responsible for maintaining the organization’s learning management platform to support effective training experience. The primary objective is to boost workplace performance and drive professional growth. The Specialist will have the flexibility to design and organize training content by combining creativity based on Greater Midland’s brand, research and analysis of existing materials. Additionally, the Specialist will evaluate the effectiveness of training materials using performance data then make necessary adjustments to ensure continuous improvement. The Learning Management Specialist must maintain high personal standards, and adhere to, and carry out, the Purpose and Values of Greater Midland. Major Job Responsibilities ? Develop training materials through Greater Midland’s eLearning Solution that align with organizational goals and strategy. ? Participate in various training “Intake meetings” to gather training content for development. ? Develop designs/content in Canva/PowerPoint. ? Manage multiple learning projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time. ? Maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive information. ? Manage user assignments and execution of automated learning tracks. ? Analyze learning program feedback and performance data fostering a culture of continuous improvement. ? Oversee general administrative duties such as coordinating training through ADP, scheduling courses as necessary, and tracking participation. ? Exhibit professionalism in communication, conduct, and performance of responsibilities. ? Stay updated on industry trends, best practices and tools in learning and development for internal consideration. ? Consistently demonstrate leadership behaviors aligned with Greater Midland’s values. Qualifications ? Experience in instructional design, education media design, or a related field ? Minimum 2 years of directly related experience ? Experience with Canva, iSpring, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams (familiar with ADP, preferred) ? Innovative, analytical thinking, attention to detail and ability to organize concepts ? Self-driven and independent while embracing a team focused environment ? Demonstrate passion for learning and development ? Strong communication skills, including writing and proofreading skills with excellent organizational and multitasking skills Physical Requirements Office is located in the Greater Midland Community Center. Regular communication and contact with employees. Repetitive keyboard activity and sitting at computer workstation.
