About
Cancer Services mission is to provide personal and compassionate support to local cancer patients and their caregivers in our community. Founded in 1948 in Midland, Michigan.
Cancer Services is an independent non-profit agency that provides non-medical support to families in Midland, Clare and Gladwin Counties. They offer financial aid, private counseling, a PALS program (Partners as Life Survivors), transportation to medical appointments, wigs, protheses, adult briefs and other supplies that people need but never wanted while fighting cancer. Additionally, they conduct home visits, have a lending library, wellness services such as Survivor Yoga and Reiki. They also host many support groups such as nutritional, general, youth, metastatic, millennial, and caregiver support groups. Cancer Services provides travel reimbursements for transportation to treatment and much more. —all free of charge and funded by generous community members, businesses and foundations.
