My name is Garry Waterman LMSW, ACSW. I have a master’s degree in social work from the University of Michigan, and I have provided psychological therapy services in Midland for several decades. Currently, I have offices in Midland and Mt. Pleasant. One specialty area of focus is children, teenagers and families. Common concerns are ADD/ADHD, OCD, conduct issues, delinquency issues, depression, anxiety, learning disabilities, autism, and Asperger’s, stress management, anger issues, court issues and sleeping problems. Other common referrals to me are for traumatic brain injury, trauma of domestic violence, pain management, psychological trauma from auto accidents and military combat, PTSD, disability adjustment, and substance abuse. I work with military-related issues for all veterans, active duty, reserves, guard, retired and separated military personnel. I practice a variety of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT),Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Exposure Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Behavior Modification, Ego Psychology, Clinical Hypnosis, Communication Skill Training, and Social Skills Streaming.
