About
River Jordan is the forever family for those who have experienced foster care. Our mission is to empower them to not only thrive today but for the rest of their lives.
Our primary goal is to work with foster youth before they age out of the foster care system. We do this by connecting them with community resources and helping them build the skills they need to be self-sufficient after transitioning out and becoming independent. Our continuum of peer support and life skill services is lifelong regardless of age starting at age 14.
Thanks to contributions from our local community, River Jordan is able to provide Wrap Around Support Services, Life Skills Coaching, Peer Mentoring, and Transitional Housing. These services help prevent homelessness, human trafficking, sex trafficking, drug addiction, and suicide among youth and adult alumni following their stay in foster care.
River Jordan serves foster youth in counties that make up region 5 which include: Midland, Bay, Arena, Saginaw, Gratiot, Gladwin, Clare & Isabella. -
