Migizi Economic Development Company

The Migizi Economic Development Company (MEDC) is the economic development arm for the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe (Tribe). The MEDC was founded on August 8, 2007 for the purpose of building an economy that diversifies the Tribe’s assets away from gaming and fosters socio-economic self-sufficiency for future generations. Today, the MEDC operates a variety of on and off reservation businesses across several different industries, which include hotels and hospitality, pharmaceuticals, retail, convenience stores, recreation and real estate holdings.
